I use an evh 1x12 with an evm12L to monitor my Kemper on stage.

Works great for me, but my Kemper is un powered and I'd like to cut down on things to carry.

I was thinking Matrix GM50..but looks like they are no longer available. Any other suggestions?

I need something high powered that I could install in the 1x12...equivalent to 50-60 watts tube.

I'd prefer the powered Kemper...but don't want to go through the hassle of selling mine then buying a new Kemper.

I'm currently using the Fryette Power Station which sounds awesome, but a but much to lug around.

I used to have one of those... didn't sound great and not sure it was loud enough.

Another option is getting an already powered cab, but I don't want the frr thing. I want it to be a real guitar speaker.

I read that the Friedman powered monitor is heavy and not easy to carry...

What about those older Crate Power Block amps ? If it has an effects return could use that as a poweramp and it's small and light.

I'm in the same boat, probably will end up getting a small 1 rack space power amp

I used to have a powerblock too...
I don't remember it feeling very loud
I had the ISP stealth too.. not loud enough

Unfortunately, in LA, the small clubs want me to be loud (they refuse to handle my kemper direct)
the 60 watts in the Fryette Power Station are loud and killer...but it is equivalent to a 2u rack

I love having the kemper in the Kemper bag... don't want a rack...
Maybe selling mine and forking up extra cash for a powered Kemper is the only elegant way to go

If you want to install IN the cab, look at hypex. For a small, separate amp, look at the acoustic image Clarus SL series....

I recommend the ART SLA-1. It's a 1u rack power amp, 260w bridged mono so would work great for your situation. It also runs stereo, so if you want to go with two cabs sometime in the future, you can easily upgrade without having to change a thing in your amp. Independent channel volumes are very convenient.

I used one with my Kemper rack playing live. I used both channels - one to my main guitar cab behind me, and one to another cab by my pedalboard aimed up as a monitor. I could increase my 'monitor' volume as needed without pissing off the sound guy. It was an awesome setup. Plus, the SLA-1 is very light.

Here's the Sweetwater link.

Screw one of those Quilter blocks to the back and voila.
