With the latest list you posted it is hard to beat a Herbert for the genre's you mentioned coupled with its versatility. The loops are great, power section is amazing, clean tones are amazing, rock and metal tones are amazing. A very versatile amp and not to mention the tube options you can get with it. Hard to beat for one amp doing all kinds of things with all kinds of options. The XTC is very versatile as well. The Herbert has more sag like the Uberschall you like than the XTC has.
What do you think about the D-Moll? That is currently the only Diezel in my price range.

Musicians Friend has an open box Herbert, but it's just out of my price range, and doesn't qualify for their Cyber deals. The VH4 is clearly out of my price range if the Herbert is, lol. The D-Moll seems interesting, I've heard it's like a Herbert, mixed with a Hagen. The finalized list (that's keep changing, but is now final...final) is a Marshall JVM 410, Bogner Uberschall Rev Blue, Diezel D-Moll.

It's a tough decision...

Man, given your tastes I would not expect the Shiva to be the Bogner for you... the Orange seems right up your alley and at what point did their quality become a liability? Haven't heard much bad about them. Bogner has the booteek forum cred but the RV is a modern classic, hardly a bad bet.

Well, for versatility the D-Moll is a nice amp. I love the heavy tone of an Uberschall but you get more versatility out of the D-Moll. You could always get a used Herbert? They are out there and far cheaper than new price wise.
