Looking to get a small decent sounding head to play while I wait on my CCV.

What's the best $500'ish head...Tiny Terror or the Friedman Jet City?
The TT gets a lot of good press over at Dinosaur Rock Guitar. The Freidman Jet City has a lot of fans here as well.
Any others I should check out?

I owned a TT for quite a while... it does what it does nicely, but wasn't for me. Frankly I'd say that the Egnater Rebel is more fun to play for the same money. I've never heard the Friedman one, so can't comment on that.

I played the TT a lot, and it didn't fit my taste. Too dull and not very much rich sounding.
I'm on a quest for a small head myself and I'm really into the Vox Nighttrain and the Bleackheart Little Giant (5w).

//Edit: just heard a couple of clips of the Jet City amp, and though I'd have to play it myself to make a more decisive thought, I liked it tons more already than the TT.

I have no doubts the Friedman modded Jet City 20 is a killer amp. Having said that I own a Tiny Terror and I LOVE it! Definitely great for anything from blues up to metal in my book. It has a signature sound and if you love it you will be in heaven (I am) but if it's not for you, you can't dial out the basic sound. Not super versitile as there is one tone and a gain knob but with a good cab and a boost you do just about anything I want with it. Someone mentioned the Egnater, I personally liked the TT much more but ymmv.

Friedman Jet City is an amazing amp. One of the best I've ever owned.

I can't comment on the TT.....

The Friedman Jet city is a killer amp, I had one and would buy one again in a minute. Total hot rod marshall in a small package if you get one with the loop its even better.

ABSOLUTELY THE FRIEDMAN-MODDED JET CITY  NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!

i owned a Tiny Terror amp and although it had a descent tone,it still needed to be boosted to tighten up the low-end.the FRIEDMAN JCA20H is a plug-n-play amp.needs NOTHING but you & your guitar! BUY ONE NOW :D NO CONTEST HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Baron Snott Watt is quite a nice amp from what I'm seeing here on RT....not readily available but still has great tone for a small unit.
Anyone know about the Krank Rev Jr Pro? Egnater rebel? I know there's a ton of Eg fans here.
