Question, It may be a Dumbass one but i will feel better if i get an answer.
Ordered tubes from magic parts and when i ordered pre amp tubes
i ordered 2 12ax7 hg+ 678 diezel selection one for v1 and one for v2
after i placed the order i realized that v2 is a recomended 12ax7 hg+
Will it matter that i put a 678 diezel selection in v2 as well. or am i full of shit ?
What does 678 diezel selection mean anyway
also what kind of feed back is the jj kt-77 getting for the einsteins

678 means super low microphonics I believe. You should be fine with it in V2.

I happen to really like the kt77s in Einstein.

Get some ruby kt77s. Yeah they are JJ brand but ruby tests them for low noise and gives you a warranty. Peter recommends the ruby ones for reliability reasons.

Thanks for all the feedback, And by the way i did get the kt 77s from ruby and or magic parts, just waiting to get them fed ex.

Just have to say, I sent this post out as well as emailed Peter himself.

What a great dude he is, in all his busy life he makes time to email back his loyal customers asking stupid and useless questions and always get back an intelegent answer.

Peter you rock and dont ever stop doing what you do. Nothing even comes close

This is the "HG" spec of the preamp tube that most folks get wrong. It's "high grade" and you're really not going to get any better than the guy doing the testing on the Hickok 6000.
