OT: HP Pavillion Media Center Pc's - anygood?

Ive got to replace my system at home and was thinking about a media center setup with 22 or 24" HD LCD Widescreen. Would put it in the Master bedroom this time around and maybe add another DirecTV drop and use this system for watching TV as well as other crap.

Anyone have any experience with the HP line? I usually build my own from scratch but don't have the time nor the patience to do that this time around.
 
I run a Gateway with Media Center on it, but I only have a regular cable line running to it, so the quality isn't that good when watching tv maximized on my 21" LCD.. but I think with Digital Cable it would be perfect.

I would imagine the HP would work fine, depending on the specs.
 
I've had one for a couple years now without any issues whatsoever. I never use the Media Center stuff tho :D

HP stuff is solid, I have the HP Media Center and 2 DV9000 Laptops. Dell blew dickweed on laptops and I'll never buy a Dell again.
 
i've been happy with all the HP stuff i've got. my first comp was a pretty fancy for the time HP, worked damned good right up to being hit by lightning.


after Dell and thier India tech support, wishfull thinking has me thinking i'll go HP from Bestbuy next time.
 
I have a HP Pavillion that I got in April. Very nice, with alot of features and support. I have been using my older Sony Vaio lately for surfing, and just using the HP for games and music recording.
 
I've had an HP Pavilion for 2 1/2 years now for my home desktop and it's a great computer. It's running XP Pro and has been rock solid.

I bought an HP DV9235r notebook in Feb. of this year and it's been great as well, and running Vista home premium...Which has been outstanding, BTW.
 
Hp rules..

the company offers excellent support, great prices, and actually are putting some style into there stuff nowadays and our outselling dell because of it...

the only con is they come with alot of preinstalled crapware

IMHO there isn't a mac notebook as cool looking as this
