FWIW, those aren't triplets.

STFU, it got the point across. quit trying to start shit

Not trying to start shit...it's just a pet peeve of mine.
...and I spend like 10 minutes trying to find the Pantera song that starts with triplet harmonics, only to find out that it doesn't exist.

then i guess you arent a true PANTERA fan - because there are three members of this forum that have posted in this topic that knew EXACTLY which song it was or which i was talking about.

secondly i was recalling it from memory - its the ONLY album i do not own -only because my copy was stolen.

third, i didnt ask you to personally to search for it now did i?

you made that decision all by your big self, if you didnt or dont know what i was referring to, then you should have simply skipped to the next topic and left it to someone that did - instead of leaving this rhetorical bullshit replying. because right now you have dont nothing to contribute to the topic other than trying to start shit with your pet peeves.

My 3 favorites go right in order...CFH, Vulgar, then FBD. The older I get I start to think I like Vulgar better then CFH but I know its just my age playing tricks on me :D . I like the raw ability of Dime in his youth. Even though he's my favorite guitarist I feel like the older he got the heavier he got, but also his soloing and virtuoso techniques took a backseat. I'll always be partial to the lead work on CFH and Vulgar because it was all out, balls to the wall thashing and shredding like none other, it doesn't get any better than that for me

For me it goes CFH>FBD>VDP>GST>RTS
I've actually been on a big Pantera kick the last week. (as you might notice from my stated location <<<

this thread just made me put on pantera and i'll probably be listening to them for the rest of the morning.
so thanks

I can't choose my favorite Pantera album. I love GST and don't think it gets NEARLY the love or respect it deserves. I mean that album was a statement and a rebellion against how shitty popular metal music was at that time. (Korn, Limp Bizkit, etc)
and it has one of the most truly ABRASIVE songs of all time! (suicide note pt. 2)
Also had some of Dime's most impressive melodic guitar solos. Solo for "10's" anyone?
skip to 2:50

of course CFH, Vulgar and FBD fuckin rock. I also like some earlier stuff like Power Metal!

Yeah power metal is great too. There are some YouTube vids of Dime when he was like 16 playing a bunch of Randy Rhoads solos and other random stuff and he was just crushing
it  My favorite tunes on GST are "Floods" and "10s". I was watching spongebob with my little niece when I was babysitting her and "Death Rattle" came on   Im sure that's on YouTube as well

FBD and TGSTK are probably my favorites. Probably because that was the prime of when I got into them, and saw them live many times.

CFH is a good album, but definitely a little bit on that "80's" side.

I also don't think Reinventing The Steel gets enough props.
Revolution Is My Name, Yesterday Don't Mean Shit, and I'll Cast A Shadow fuckin rock.
