Heres what Im looking for ;an OD that can go from mild grit to gobs of gain, all in a small box enclosure ( Like The TC toneprint pedals) Basically, a Tube Screamer style OD on Steroids.. Obviously it needs to be a great sounding musical OD without any tone sucking...

What say ye?

BYOC OD2! Love it. Fulltone Fulldrive is pretty great as well. Both you can get for around $100ish

Timmy...coolest OD I've come across in years. The EQ works very differently from the norm which I believe is where the magic lies.

Per our last conversation, don't discount the Boss Blues Driver without giving it a try...in a blind test I did at my old store, most people (there were about 6 of us if I recall) preferred it to my original Klon Centaur.

It's pricey but the Rockbox Boiling Point is one of the best Tubescreamer's style pedals I've come across. Their Baby Blues pedal looks sweet too but I've never played it. Boiling Point does Plexi, symetrical OD, and clean boost which is incredible. $350 new anywhere from $200-275 on ebay.

I have a Menatone Blue Collar for sale you may dig. A real kickass overdrive, kind of like a totally improved ts circuit with tons of gain available and no honky mids. Sounds like what you may be looking for. PM if you're interested.

Looked around and also have an Ibanez TS9 Analogman mod w/bypass. That's the silver mod with the 4558 chip(the 808 mod as well )with the true bypass switch too.

JHS Charlie Brown or Angry Charilie (amazingly musical and covers that range perfectly-warm crunchy boost to Guv'nor and beyond)
Rockbox Boiling Point
Wampler Super plextortion
Keeley TS9 or 808
Boss Power Stack? (never played one but sounded amazing when Pete Thorn demoed his)

I know you said you want a small enclosure, but the Xotic BB+ is fantastic! Covers these sounds and then some, especially when you stack both sides.

Yo knucklehead........ Before you go and spend money on anything, Don't forget that some Years Back you were sent a Modded OD9 that is still at my house :D :D :D

I always like the OCD, but it's not exactly "tubescreamery".

Here's what you do. Get a used Tube Screamer and a BOSS SD-1. Run the TS into the SD-1, set the gain on the TS relatively low, but the level high, and set the SD-1 to taste. Enjoy tonal bliss...

maxon 808? the od 9 pro plus looks cool as well
I had the od9+pro and I thought it was pretty sweet. If u like what a ts type does but want the ability to run it stock or modded with less or more gain and bass on tap if needed. It also can be run at 18 volts for added headroom which is another cool feature. I preferred it to my original ibanez ts9.

Wampler Pinnacle. This guy is demoing the larger one. The smaller one sounds the same
