Ozzy Speak Of The Devil DVD with Brad Gillis

Love what Gillis did with the songs, sprinkled them with his own flavor

My friend had recorded one of the two nights they played at the Ritz, where this album was from. The original vocals were horrid!

I think he's a rocking player, but the dude is a bit over the top when it comes to the vibrato bar. If you're reaching for the bar every two seconds, it just sounds like you're playing to yourself rather than playing to the song.

This was actually from the Diary Tour June 1982 @ Irving Meadows in California. The Ritz shows were in Sept 82.

That tour was the first concert I ever went to.

Awesome!!! I was lucky enough to see Randy in February 82!!

Gotta be the Debbie Downer... not a Gillis fan at all. Horrible thin tone and i hated his whammy wankery! He does an adequate job on that live tape though.

Speak Of The Devil was all Sabbath material. They never took that on tour. They did two nights at the Ritz in NY.
Diary tour was Ozzy material.

You are the Debbie Downer!!!      I was a Gillis fan especially after hearing the Memphis, TN 82 show broadcasted over the radio which I did record and I did like the first two Night Ranger LPs. His whammy bar wankery is what made him different from other guitarist since no one did that back in 82!!! He also does a great job on the last two Vicious Rumors CDs.

Right, but this DVD is the Diary tour called "Speak of The Devil" and was released only in Japan on VHS/Laserdisc and was broadcasted on MTV in 82.

Yes, they did play there 2 nights (9/26/82 and 9/27/82) with an unofficial show on 9/25/82. Yes, I also like the "Speak Of The Devil" LP!! Great stuff indeed.
