I actually swear by gravity picks now. i use a 1.5mm from them.

lazer etched solid acrylic - light weight, solid/will not bend, and last freaking forever. ive put a pounding on the demo pick i ordered and plan to spend the money to order more.

FWIW i was a dunlop nylon .88 and 1.14 user for years, made the switch to gravity and no complaints so far.

I will say they do tend to want to twist in my hands sometimes, nothing a drill bit has not fixed.

I used Jazz IIIs for years...

Gravity picks blew my mind. Soo much better than Jazz IIIs...or even V-picks...

I really dig the large screamer v-picks. Specifically the glow in the dark one over the acrylic. It doesn't have as much bite which is nice for guitar considering the acrylic ones sound really bitey.

When I want just a normal pick though I just use 1.0 tortexs

would like to try those Jazz III XLs, i've recently tried a few other picks to see but i keep coming back to :

Dunlop delrin 1.5mm

Been using them for a few years now, very occasionally use a jazz iii for surgical riffing/picking stuff but the delrin seems to do everything

I'm sold on the Red Bears. I got the Ultex's as backups. I prefer sharp tip heavy picks beveled. I lost a Red Bear Classic II EXH at a gig last month. I thought the world had ended losing a $20.00 pick! I got a Red Bear B-Hvy I'm playing with current. I got several others on the way. But I prefer the Classic II over the B. The B is kinda broad in my thumb. Their not cheap and the wait is long...but they make me happy.

The EVH's are Herco's in a lighter gauge they stopped producing years ago. PERFECT for me and my technique. I use the heavier one's with 10/11 gauge strings, but I mostly play 9/Hybrid 9's. $ $ $ $

I really like the feel of these Planet Waves picks. The raised grip is awesome. Ever since I tried them a couple years ago it's all I will use. Kinda hard to find them though.

I've been using those Ultex tiny Jazz IIIs and I'm ruined because of it. I grab other picks and they feel enormous and clunky.

I prefer the purple Dunlop Tortex picks. They are thick and sturdy, and don't wear very easily. A bit too percussive though for some rhythm playing, especially if you aren't able to lighten your grip when necessary.

Ultex Sharp 1.40mm is my go to and the Planet Waves Black Ice is nice too. Before those I used the Dunlop Gator Grip 2.00mm for years.

Wow, the thickest pick I've ever tried was a 1mm Jazz III, I think. I hope, for your sake, that you're playing on some electrical power line gauged strings... Don't know how you do it.

Black gator grip 2.0mm. I've used them for many years, and can't imagine using a thinner pick (maybe just a little thinner 1.5 or so).

+1,000! Seriously great sounding picks. Just received custom graphic ones last month and they're now my favorite picks (and my custom logo has nothing to do with it).

I also like Ultex Sharp 1.14mm and Cool Picks Juratex Jazz 1.2mm
