I don’t think it’s an option, but I would pay a small fee here to be rid of the ads. It sometimes takes some maneuvering to deal with them as I browse and post and would gladly rid myself of them for a fee.
I suspect membership numbers (the fee) vs ad revenue makes it financially impossible?

I only get ads when I turn on history in my settings in firefox.

It would be cool to get like a week temp ban for bringing up those two subjects in a bunch of threads for a couple days solid. I've never gotten banned over bit o honeys, that would be like something that used to happen over at Harmony Central.
 
I offered to buy the site so that I could turn it into a synth and Lisa Frank appreciation forum where people would be required to post clips in exchange for membership, but never got a response. ?
