Parallel loop: use it to get a boost (maybe obvoius to most)

Maybe this is kind of a lame thread, but I just figured this out while messing the parallel loop of my mod50, and figured other people may like it to. If you want to get a small volume boost of your parallel loop, put a volume pedal in there or an on/off switch, and have the effects return set up high/max. When you bring the volume pedal up, it will increase the signal returning to the power amp, giving a slight boost/kick.

I know some people do this with the series loop as well, which allows you to go from zero volume to full volume, but if you do the parallel loop you can go from your regular volume to a bit of a boost.

Maybe not the most practical thing, or it's already well known, but I didn't realize that till just now..

This is a good tip... only watch out is that with some amps / pedals there may be a phasing issue when running boosts in the parallel loop, so you may actually end up with more tone suck than boost.

Yeah I noticed this with one pedal, but then with just a volume pedal in the loop I had no problems.
