A little back story on this. A few months before EVH passed I bought three Peavey USA bodies and necks. What I was told was Hartley Peavey donated a buikding to a local church. Inside this building were various Peavey USA made guitar and bass bodies, necks, hardware... At some point a couple local to the church started selling these parts. So I bought the bodies and necks and pickups from them.
This guitar is a arch top, what Peavey called a Wolfgang Standard. The body looks like it may have been a test piece for paint as there appears to be a layer of gold paint under the ivory paint. I thought it looked cool this way and left ot as I received it for a relic look. The neck never had the signature stamp or serial # applied and the front of the headstock was bare wood when I received it. I had a local auto painter do the front of the headstock black. Pickups were sold to me as USA Peavey and look and sound like the multiple other Peavey Wolfgangs I have had over the years. Bridge is a Gotoh 1996? And tuners are Schaller. Same bridge and tumers Peavey used. Pot is a 500k EVH low friction. No tone pot and obviously there is a kill switch on the upper horn.
The fret ends appear to have not been finish dressed. I can't slightly feel them if I run my hand up and down the neck, but I don't notice it at all when playing the guitar. Frets are 99%. There is what I believe to be a finish crack in the ivory paint on the rear in and below the trem rout. It hasn't changed in the almost 5 years I have owned it.
This is a very full, fat sounding guitar.
Price includes shipping within CONUS paid via PP F&F. Any question, please ask. Not looking for trades.
