Are you asking or telling? Yes I do, and I use them all the time. If you check out @Techdeth extended pentatonic minor scale video, he shows a great example of use of passing tones that are literally underneath your fingers in your pentatonic box. That was an outstanding video even though I already knew what he was teaching. Which is strange, cause I've never played a guitar before.

You can use Passing Notes like chromatic scales 1/2 steps, as long you land on a Stable tone, within the key structure (or modulation)
also called Grace Notes usually a 1/2 step from stable. Players like Guthrie Govan, Steve Morse, John Petrucci utilize Chromaticism.

If you play them on the beat they are jazzy.
