Patent office amp schematics?

So I was looking for info on my Guytron (looking for the bias resistor) when I noticed that, low and behold, the bloody thing has a full schematic at the US Patent Office website! How about that? I knew that a lot of amp designs were patented, but I didn't realize that included a full schematic...

yeah, lots of people that need/want mesa schematics get them through the patent office because randall smith patents everything. it's kind of funny because by doing the patents, he makes his designs public.

It's ironic, but it's also asking for a lawsuit if the patent hasn't expired. He has so many patents, I'm surprised he hasn't gone all lawyer on anyone who has remotely copied a design.

Then again, all you have to do is change a resistor value and you can claim it's your own

I'm just glad the Guytron GT100 schematics are there; I was afraid I'd have to drive to Michigan to get my amp properly serviced
