why people dont use a PP e-check is beyond me???

Tell us more.......

Its an electronic check and cost the seller $5 per item. The's no 3.5% sellers fee. its $5 per e-check. It takes 3 or 4 day to clear, like a normal check and you still get paypal buyer/ seller protection. And just like a normal check it can always be cancelled.

Well, this seems like a great option. Info about this should be stickied in the Classifieds section!

It can always be selected. Noone really likes it so if one is going to use this option it is respectful to ask the seller if it is ok first. I do not think PP or the bank will cancel it as it is not really a check. It is an ACH witdrawl

The E-check is no longer free to businesses. They pay the regular 3% yada yada yada as of about 9-12 months ago. That's the last time I got an e-check through PayPal.

But it used to be $5, you're right about that. And maybe they still allow individuals to use the e-check with a $5 fee, but not to businesses.

To reply to another post, whether you use a credit card directly with the merchant, or Paypal, they all take 3% yada yada yada. 4.2% for non USA based credit cards.

PayPal gift allows the "PayPal Gift" sender to pay the 3% fees if the payment is funded from a credit card, otherwise it's only free if you pay from an existing paypal balance or a linked checking/savings account.
