PCM41/42 or SDE3000? Which is the 'better' delay?

Both the Lexicon PCM41 and the Roland SDE3000 are a couple of the most beloved vintage rack delays out there. You see them in a lot of W/D/W rigs.

If someone offered you a choice between a couple of PCM41s or a couple of SDE3000s which would you want?

I think i liked the SDE3000 a little more.. But in all honesty, i could easily live with either. They are both absolutely killer sounding delays.. Nothing else out there like them IMO.

SDE 3000...Done end of thread...
Man.. that is soooo not right.
The 70 not only has some fantastic verb but the unit itself, like the the 42, has its own tone thing happening. The SDE is real cool too, but I think the 70 is a little more versatile. More bang for the buck kinda thing

Kinda got off topic here. This thread was about the SDE3000 and the PCM41/42 (not the PCM70) -- that was a separate thread started by me a few days ago. In this thread I wanted to explore the sonic differences between the two delays. I have a SDE3000 and love it, but I'm trying to decide if I want to just buy another SDE3000, or sell it and buy a couple of PCM41s (or I guess I could just buy a PCM41 and have one of each!). I guess it'll sound killer anyway you look at it.
