Here we go again OMG Budda is being made by Peavey! Let's look at a few facts. First the Peavey Sucks thing. "Masterbation" now there's a word and if any one says they never did they are liars. Everyone needs to look at themselves in the mirror.
Every one in music has used Peavey gear and there is where the problem lies. Peavey makes great gear at a price millions of people can access. The root cause there is that of all the people that means many are entry level or "Newbies". That dosen't make them bad people, but people who don't know how to use their gear. So it's easier to blame the product than the person using the product, period. Ego is a huge thing in the arts and it's very hard to look at ones self in the mirror. Ever wonder how many people who purchase music gear ever read the owners manual? I think the industry stats say less than 5%. So there you go with flaming egomaniacs running around saying that any product is bad!
In my almost 40 year time in the music business I have used many types of gear worldwide and included was Peavey along with names like Midas, Sony, EAW and so on. At this stage in my life I now use a Dr Z "Z wreck amp that cost a lot of money. my pedal board is like a ad for boutique pedal maker. They are all great, but the gloom and doom of Peavey should not bother anybody. I know Hartley Peavey and his late wife Melia. They (Peavey) have one of the best production (I was at many "high end" factory's and you would be amazed how bad so many are)lines and quality control lines not only in the music business, but any business.
