peavey butcher value

the only one that still doesn't cost much - the triumph (owned one and never liked the amp that much - found out it was the Peavey version of a Mark III (never liked the Mark)

the only Bravo at the moment is 3+!

old Peavey are getting costlier
 
Weird how the sleeper amps go up in price when times are tough!


I don't know the old peavey amps very well, know the butchers are good.

Seems like Ultra and Ultra+? Think some people like the Ultra+ more than 5150?


XXX's still cheap?
 
the xxx are only in the 3-4 range now

i hate active eq though
 
There was one of them on our local CL out here recently. He didn't list a price and didn't have pictures. I just passed on it, but it sat in the back of my mind. It's gone now. Did I pass on something sweet?
 
Those old Butcher heads are great. Basically the original version of the Ultra circuit I believe. :thumbsup:
 
I have a buddy who is selling his next to mint Peavey Ultra + cab for $400. I have been very tempted to buy it. I know Peavey's are looked down upon by a lot of gear snobs, but I love 'em.
 
I paid $150 for the last one I had, seen em as high as $300 for a minty one. Cool amps sound great boosted.
 
400 too much?

The Carvin X 100 good? Looks kinda Boogie to me (not good), and I'm not a fan of active eq
