Peavey XXX cab speakers - Opinions

A couple years back I remember having a Peavey XXX cab and actually being pleasantly surprised by the speakers. Looks like I could snag one for around $150 which is about average price.

Anyone have any opinions on these speakers? Am I misremembering the xxx speaker sounding similar to a v30 but a little stiffer?

I'd like to mix these the with T75's in my 1960 cab to bring more mids and presence into the cab.

Just my opinion but those Sheffield speakers sound very hissy with tons of presence, like a pissed off snake. If you plan on replacing the speakers the cab itself isn't the worst.

These particular speakers? Or the Sheffield speakers in general? Because I actually hate pretty much every Peavey/Sheffield speaker and that's why I remember the xxx being a stand out.

The XXX speakers are Peavey's take on the V30, and a good one at that.

The 5150/6505 Sheffields are Peavey's take on the Greenback, and a bad one at that.

I like Sheffield’s. My buddy had a Mesa 4x12 loaded with the XXX speakers and it sounded excellent and very similar, if not better to me than my Rivera 4x12 with UK V30’s.
