Big Muff Pi. It's got that signature sizzle like an overstressed speaker with a few holes in it and I'd like to get rid of that if at all possible. Are there any easy/switchable mods that can do this? I am a fan of switchable mods because I can always just switch back to the stock circuit. Any ideas?

Sell it and buy a different pedal.

I mean, that whole "everything is broken and I can't turn it down" sound is what you buy a Muff for in the first place.

I like Big Muffs but because of that same reason I didn't like using them live..

I used an Ibanez Tone-Lok FZ7 Fuzz pedal, They have a damage switch which disables or enables that part of the fuzz...

MJM London Fuzz. Best fuzz EVER. It sounds crazy messy and fuzzy, but in a way that makes you all warm and well...fuzzy inside!

If you want a fuzz pedal that's tamed down A LOT and is almost borderline overdrive, try a Keeley Fuzz Head.
The Keeley is cool because it resonds like an od that gets into fuzz territory. You can also select silicon or germanium transistors.

OR try the russian Big Muff. It's much smoother and not as harsh as the regular U.S version.

I am also very fond of the Hendrix Dallas Arbiter Fuzz pedal (the blue one) how does that stack with the others?

That's a killer fuzz too. It has the BC108 Silicon chip and isn't quite as warm as the Keeley. The MJM London Fuzz I mentioned is based on that early Hendrix sound but has two germanium transistors and is warmer. It's hard to describe..it gets really nasty and the sounds almost falls apart, but it's still very musical and warm.

Analogman makes nice fuzzies too with the same BC108 chip the Arbiter has, or the germanium NKT275.
I love fuzz pedals! It's weird that I don't currently own one. Sold mine off when I wanted a bunch of od's but I'm gonna buy back the MJM for sure.
