Hello I am looking for a pedal platform.
And I wondered if any of you had already played with the Victory Rk50 head. And if you had tried to connect fuzz pedal, overdrive, high gain pedal ...

This head seems to have all that I need.
50 watt to play live
effect loop
External bias test points and adjustment
9 watts option to play at home
made in England
master volume.
Price down from $ 1300us

I know the victory duchess is built to be a pedal platform and would be a better choice for pedal.
But I play mostly rock and metal. I am looking for an British style amp as laney La30bl SUPERGROUP or old Marshall, with a master volume, an effect loop and a low power mode.

Thanks!

Of the things in your list, I think the hardest part might be finding something with those features made in the UK.

Some of the things on your list may not be critical to a clean pedal platform? Things like a master volume and selectable wattage (I get that even clean amps sound nice when the power section is really working, but a 9 watt power section working hard still will be quite loud). The effects loop (can just run time-based effects after your drive pedals without any distortion, not really a need for an effects loop for them separately).

Thanks Cardinal, I know the made in uk hardest part.

That's why I ask if anyone already try this head with different distortion pedals, overdrive and fuzz. Because this head is the only one with the v40 that seems to have everything I'm looking for.
The effect loop is important for me because I already have some preamp and pedal preamp and I do not want to have to buy a power amp.

I tried some of my pramp plugged on the front of a head and if I compare in the fx loop it sounds much better in the fx ...

How about the 25w Jubilee, or new 20w JCM 800? Both have good loops, good MV...and around your price range. 20-25w should be loud enough for most gigs....my 50w Jubes or 800s hardly ever cracked 2 on the volume at any gig....

Thanks for the comment. I am the proud owner of a mini jubilee since two years. I love this amp for rock like acdc and old school trash metal or british heavy like maiden. But the jubilee it’s not very high gain at all, has fairly low headroom and especially it is clearly not a pedal amp platform for the fuzz pedal and old school hign gain pedal. And is not powerful enough to play on stage with a metal band, my opinion.

Disagree about the pedal platform, unless I'm misunderstanding you..I used to double boost my Jubilees when I gigged for an 80s type HR/Metal tone...Plenty tight and took my boost pedals really well.
But, at 25w it may be underpowered for your needs...through a 4x12 it should be plenty loud but if you compete with a hard hitting drummer/2nd guitar player it might get buried.
