I am a big believer in the ISP decimator. I put mine in the loop, after EQs and before delay. Cleans up the hiss. Turn it off for clean tones.

You using the pedal? I'm wanting to stay away from rack gear.

From the site:

This is very handy tone shaping tool to have on your pedal board. This is actually a very nice sounding EQ right off the shelf. But it suffers from excessive noise as a result of the cheaper components Boss uses. With this mod we replace the cheaper noisy op-amp chips with low noise higher quality chips.

Lower quality capacitors are also replaced reducing noise even more and also adding a more focused Hi-Fi tone to the circuit. Noise is substantially reduced and the signal is passed through preserving the original tone of your guitar. The bypass circuit is also much improved. You will not find a better mod than this anywhere for the GE-7! You'll be shocked at the improvement this mod will make on this pedal.

Cool... thanks dude. What's the site URL?
I googled it   I bought mine off of ebay for $80

Are you using the boost on the Shiva? I had to look it up but he Plank Cranker is an HBE Power Screamer. Played it. Felt it was alright but nothing great. You can definitely get something "better" to replace it that would provide you with the same functionality. Based on your set list, my thoughts would be to just go with one chorus pedal. Consider a boost or lower gain OD that really works the same wonders as a boost for coming up a little and more cut whether in the loop (are you using it?) or in front. Played the Bogner blue. Just felt that I would want a different flavor for dirtying up the signal both on the clean and OD channel of your Shiva. What Phase 90 do you have?
What is the Shiva-J? Like the set list.

I do plan on using the boost on the Shiva. The Shiva-J was made some 5-6+ years ago only for Japan. It's got more gain than the standard Shiva's (they have more variations now, but this was the first of it's kind), a depth knob... forget what else is different.

All of the OD pedals, I already have so I'll see what works and what doesn't and possibly replace some. I like the Ecstasy Blue pedal for a little bump and think it will probably end up staying put, plus it has a boost of its own.

All I have as far as effects go are the TC X4 delay and Corona Chorus. Everything else is up in the air although I'm leaning towards the TC Vortex flanger if I get a flanger/phaser pedal.

Thanks... just learned Scorpions "Can't live without you" as well. Having fun learning these old tunes.
