Pedalboard Power Supply Advice

Hi guys,

I’m looking to get a pedalboard power supply to replace the individual plugs and extension lead.

My board consists of-

Line 6 Relay G30
Boss TU2
Digitech Drop
Digitech Freqout
Line 6 M5
Tech 21 Midi Moose

Can anyone recommend an all in one power supply that will work with all the above please. I think it’s the Line 6 Relay G30 that will make it more difficult with its power requirements. I’m used to all in modellers on the floor or racks so this is a bit new for me! A rechargeable option like the Volto would be amazing if that’s compatible?

I think these specs for the pedals are correct. Hopefully this should help

Line 6 M5 9V 500MA
Line 6 G30 9V 500MA
Digitech Drop 9V 250MA
Digitech Freqout 9V 235MA
Boss TU2 9V 55MA
Midi Moose 9V 100MA
 
I went through a little overhaul last year and settled on the Strymon Zuma. It’s pricey, but high powered to charge anything. It’s something that I’ll keep forever, so figured the extra $ investment was worth it.

The 500 amp line 6 stuff is too much for most of the bricks. That's being said, you could get a pedal power 2 plus and a y power cable and plug those two into the outlet on the pp2 +. I am doing this with my boss ms-3 and a high amp delay pedal.

LED lighting strip? What are the 2 wall warts for, and how are they powered?

They are plugged into the y power cable and then into the outlet on the back of the pedal power.

That outlet, to me, is what sets the PP2+ above alot of other power supplies. Due to the high amperage needed for alot of modern pedals that use DSP platforms, the PP2+ is the only power supply I have found that can power everything I have and its all because of the outlet on the back.
 
Looks like the MXR M238 would fit the bill.

It has two 9V 450mA for the Line 6 pedals (I read plenty of people powering these off ISO-5's with only 300mA outs), and it has two 9V 300mA outs for your other higher draw pedals. Then a two 9V 100mA, two adjustable 6-15V, and two 18V outs as well.

Price is decent @ $129.99 USD.

This. Has 2x 500mA plus 2x 250mA plus 5x 100mA (1 of which is adjustable 4-9vdc) and also has 2x 18vdc plus 1x 9vac. All isolated. It will cover your needs and has flexibilty for future gas.

I vote one of the bigger ones from VoodooLab or Decibel11. For $100 more you've got silent isolated power in a bulletproof design for travel. Something like this:

Well, it's $120 more; which is basically double the MXR. That's a big increase. I'm sure it's definitely more rugged though; which might be worth it if he's gigging. I have the little VooDoo Labs ISO-5 currently, and it seems to be built like a tank. I have a Walrus Audio Aetos on the way to replace it only because I needed a few additional outputs. I probably would have bought the MXR over the Walrus Audio had I seen it first because it has everything I need, cheaper, and the wall-wart isn't an issue for me as I only have an office setup.

Output wise it has you covered, but I don't know if all your pedals would physically fit on the board or not.

True, that is a big jump. And actually...he probably doesn't need all of that amperage the Mondo has. Not knowing the milli-amp ratings on those pedals, it's hard to say....but VooDoo Lab & Decibel11 have a couple nice ones built like your ISO-5 in the $150-$180 range that would probably do the job. (I have a Decibel11 Hot Stone Deluxe that I paid $160ish for that works great)

Worth every penny, got plenty of headroom as far as amperage is concerned, built like a tank
 
Got the VoodooLabs Mondo.

Does everything.

Use the external AC on the unit for my 48V power supply of the CAL Mk.4:23 Pro.

Everything racked except Clyde wah and VP Jr., GCP covers all the tap dancing.
