I was just on the Gear Page and looked at a tread from Pete from his tour in Japan. What a cool guy. I have so much respect for someone who's down to earth and can talk to anyone about his love of music and guitar regardless of who. They are or what hey own. Much respect in my book.

Yeah, Pete seems like a genuinely cool dude. Love his demo videos too.

Agreed. There are plenty of pro guys out there doing what he does but the fact that he shares so much of what he's learned is what makes me appreciate him. Not to make him sound inhuman but he's just a great resource and wealth of real world knowledge.

A well liked and appreciated man in the guitar playing community.

Really dig his demos, and gear reviews.
Particularly love has lesson of Eruption though. Outstanding!

Outstanding player and talent. Every demo has a cool innovative little tune within it. That's a true talent. Seems like a super guy/person too.

Must have been a blast touring with Cornell. Much respect.

Still have yet to try a OD100 and now PT100.

Hey sorry I missed this thread when you originally posted- thanks man! Too kind! Glad you like the Japan thread, I'm still here and man it's been great but I'm going home on monday for a bit and can't wait!!!! 2 1/2 months in Japan, I need me some USA haha! I love it here though. Anyways, thanks again, dude.

^ Class act. I also enjoyed the Japan thread and haveve been following your YouTube channel for quite some time!

Pete's a great player, but I wouldn't be able to pick him out from dozens of other great players. It's not like I could listen to a track, and say; "That's got to be Pete Thorn playing..."

I love Pete's demo's prolly the best out there.

As a player none finer.

But TGP is not cool IMO.

Hearing Melissa Ethridge talk about Pete helping her become a more confident player on the Howard Stern show was the highlight of that interview for me.

I agree.
I was actually talking about this with my gf the other day.
He's played with so many legendary musicians, yet makes the time to share his knowledge, experiences, and conversate with complete strangers from all over about gear. Doesn't matter if you're a bedroom rocker, weekend warrior or famous star. He always comes across as kind and friendly. I don't know the guy, but I think that's very cool.
Long may he rock out and geek out with the rest of us.
