Ah, yes.... the nerd, circa 1981 or so, at Sears photo studio,

The Guitar Nerd CD/Lesson- How It Works:
If you’d like to order the CD/Lesson package, go to CDbaby.com between May 17 and May 30. Search for Pete Thorn to find my page, or this URL will take you directly to my page:
http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/petethorn
Between May 17 and May 30, You’ll see the CD priced at $18.97. If you order it, you will get a CD with a sticker attached to it with instructions on how to download a 70 minute video lesson!
In the lesson, I break down and teach a rippin solo from the song “Monster Movie” with lots of fast alternate picking, sweep picking, whammy bar stuff, etc. I also teach the entire clean solo instrumental piece “Promise”. The lesson is done in the same style as all my other youtube videos. there’s no tab or notation, it’s informal- but i go very slowly and explain each note, fingering, my picking patterns, etc. The lesson is a big file (about 850 MB) so it will take a little while to download.
On May 31, I’ll be discontinuing the lesson, and the CD price will change to $13.97. The Guitar Nerd digital download version will also be released on May 31, at CDbaby, Itunes, etc. Some digital sites take longer to add content than others, but Itunes should have it for sure by the 31st. It’ll be everywhere eventually (Amazon, Rhapsody, etc.)
NOTE: If you order the lesson, I ask you to please keep it to yourself (please don’t share it, or upload it to youtube, etc.). You paid the extra $5 for it, and I’d really like to keep it a special, low key, grass roots kind of thing, something special for the people who got in early on “Guitar Nerd”.
NOTE#2: The first 4 CD’s that ship won’t have the special sticker with download instructions for the lesson. If you are one of the 4 people that receive a CD with no sticker, send me an email to:
petethorn@ymail.com
I’ll email you instructions personally on how to download the lesson.
That’s it!
My sincere thanks to all of you that have expressed interest in this project, if you buy the album I really hope you dig it!! Rock on, rockers...
