I already have the mod for less compression and I'm running 6L6, but I'd like to make the clean channel lows a little bit less stiff. Like Fender amps, which tend to have a "bouncy" low end.

how can I do this? is there a way? (solder a cap or something like that?)

Hey Joey,

sorry but the circuit has nothing to do with a
Fender clone. The only chance is to stop by
my workshop with Your amp and guitar.

Egnater or LJ send into VH4s return, Joey.

I wouldn't mod the VH4 - you already have 2 fenderish clean amps.

hmmm interesting...... amma try that Olaf! :D

Little joe's Kicking ASS by the way! :D

I'm gonna use it all over my record

It could be me but why don't you buy/rent a real fender for fender cleans?

Get a Deluxe Reverb and run it with the Diezel. Fender's best clean sound IMO.

I already have 3 "Fender" like amps..... A Princeton Reverb which is of course a fender, and an Egnater Renegade (clean channel is sort of a Bassman clone) and Duesentrieb Little Joe which the clean channel is based of the Deluxe Reverb (am I right Olaf?) it certainly sounds "fender"

I love the fenderish cleans....it doesn't have to be a fender clone....but something in the ball park.

with the VH4 I just wanted to eliminate some of the stiffness the low end has on the clean channel (Stiffness that's desirable for rock and metal, but not so much on the clean channel)

I can work with it and it sounds very good, specially with atouch of delay or reverb, but I wanted to make it more my taste

you know what your answer is...

Use a Herbert for Piano like clear bell tones.

or

buy an a/b switch and a Fender amp.

or in other words:

Don't dare to "Fenderize" the VH4!!!! :gethim: ;)

I can sell you a preamp, Joey. ;)

Alternatively you could try to buy a Mesa Studio and a looper.

your preamps are always amazing olaf.... But I'm in America now...... so it won't be cheap :(

I'd suggest you use the princeton A/B'd with you VH4 for the true clean tones...

As for getting your distortion sound more like a fender try using the Lovepedal Les Lius...just LOVE the crunch tone there man!

Cheers,
Anju

BTW: I like your effort with your book! Rock on dude!

hey dean, thank you! (almost ready for purchase btw)

I'm not interested on fender distortion, just clean :)

It's all good, I got to play last night with my VH4+strat+delay, still sounds glorious :D

Joey, have you ever played a Savage amp? They have some amazing clean tones.

No man.....do they? I mean.... I was just playng my vh4, and added some delay an reverb, it sounded great. I can really enjoy it live, even though Fender is my main clean preference.

I'm thinking about getting a Fender Bandmaster head.
