One of the best "Live" bands I've ever seen!
They were spot on with their music.
Pete was a great song writer and the
sound production on their albums is some of
the best produced music I've ever had the
pleasure of listening to....Absolutely Hypnotic.
R.I.P. Pete Steele

RIP Petey....a great, fun metal band....love me some Type O....not quite as carnally as the missis mind you....

Woah. :( Didn't wanna log onto to see that today... Peter Steele is (..was) a great songwriter and ToN were such an awesome band. :(

R.I.P.

RIP Peter. Very sad news. I do work for one of the guitar players in Carnivore and I know they had some big things in the works and were planning a tour.

Damn this sucks....I was a bg fan of Type-O back when they first came out. Saw them several times at Lamour and met Peter in person. He was a super nice guy...RIP

I haven't followed him recently, but ToN's Bloody Kisses CD is a fabulous recording. Just tons of emotion on it, raw, and I always had a strong feeling of sincerity in what Peter was singing. The only other CD of his I have is the October Rust one, and that seemed slightly more commercial and less sincere. I guess I'll start rounding up all the recordings he has out there.

This is truly a loss. :aww: This guys charisma was really something. And the music.. aghh.. pulling out some old CDs now..

Fuck. In a certain period of time i was listening to TON albums 24/7. This is really sad.

RIP man, you're a legend

interesting.

IMO, October Rust is one of the finest albums in rock/pop/metal/goth history. Bloody Kisses is definitely more raw, but I thought Oct Rust was a BIG step up in writing and melodic structure, etc.

Maybe, Oct Rust was just the right place and right time for me sophomore year of high school.

I'm with you on that. October Rust is in my top 5 albums ever.

Agreed, great album. I still listen to it frequently. RIP Peter.
