Looking to add a phaser to my board. I play covers and do some early VH stuff. my setup is guitar > shure whireless > Xotic Wah > Airis Savage Drive > MXR Analog Chorus > Amp.

I prefer true bypass and something simple. Like my chorus, will likely only use the Phaser on leads or some rhythm parts.

Cheers!

Phaser after the Wah, before the drive. MXR, Whirlwind, or old Bud box DOD phasers kill for the VH vibe, I like the Boss Super Phaser too.

Simple, and VH covers?

I'd put it between wah and savage drive...but then I'd also probably put the chorus there too.

Mxr 1974 reissue phase 90. Sounds really close to my original script 74 Phase 90.

I love my MXR Script reissue with the LED.
Subtle. Sounds fantastic.

I’ve had a chorus pedal on my board for 25 years. When I got the Script about a year ago the chorus came off the board. I much prefer a subtle phase here and there.

Either the script or VH MXR. I have tried others, but for VH, there is no substitute. The smile that will cross your face when you turn it on the first time... Just keep it at 9:00 and you have VH1-VH2 at your feet.

Ok, cheers, folks.

So regarding pedal order, I MAINLY use my amps distortion and only use OD here and there for some songs or parts of songs. I play a BE50. So If I'm hardly using an OD (as just a boost), does it still need to go before OD?

Thanks!

I'd still put it before your overdrive as it's just a much more pronounced sound. Really if you're barely using the drive pedal it won't matter much where you place it, especially if the drive is just goosing up/boosting the BE.
