What do you guys use?

I always used the Dunlop Delrin 1.14s but tried some Jazz IIIs today, both original and XL ones.

I like the original ones, once you get over the smallness of them, really fast and i feel more efficient due to sharp tip/extra stiffness. Bot sure on the XLs, feel a bit to big.

I'm almost converted...

Red Bear Classic II plus. They wear in to your picking style. You cannot judge by a new one. Been on the same one for three months now. Worth every cent.

Intresting idea, although that is what i didnt like about the Delrin picks. I hate it when the edge is worn. Go through them so fast! I feel like i dont get the same attack as it slides so much, Jazz IIIs so far are more resilient... Time will tell

They don't really wear down. Hard to explain. They break in to how you attack and pick. I play more on the side of my pick allot. I really like the II Plus heavy with grip holes. They last and last.

you can get beveled or non beveled, plus it comes with a cloth and pad to deburr the pick after use...theve got many to choose from ,even jazz 3 version..i like mine with the speed bevel on both sides and with the grip holes on the classic 11

I always had used a Dunlop 1.14 but have been using a classic red bear for a few weeks so far. Really like it. Worth the price but I'm afraid to lose it though.

I like the dunlop primetone large pointed model. It's the jazz iii xl size and shape but made out of polycarb with nice grooved indentations on each side for grip. They are super stuff but feel slim and wear really well - or rather don't really wear :)

Clayton Ultem rounded triangle in .80 or .94. I've become attached to them and anything else hinders my playing too much or sounds weird.

Nothing Special. Like the Dunlops..."green ones"?? :dunno:
Medium gage I like the best....but I grab whatever is laying around at the moment. :D

Which ones have the grip but have a smooth attack like the Tortex ones ( no pick noise ) ?

Are Red Bears like that ?

white dunlop tortex sharps, with gouges from a custom tool and holder my brother in law made for me for grip.

i love the sharp tip, and the fact that they dont flex at all.

Black Dunlop Gator Grip 2.0

Occasionally, the regular purple Dunlop 2.0.

I'm into the Ultex Sharp 1.4 these days.

Honorable mention:
Gator Grip 2.0 - I used these for years; they're great picks.
Planet Waves Black Ice Heavy 1.1 or Extra Heavy 1.5- These are just a hair bigger than the Jazz III. I like these a lot, but the 1.1 does loose it's shape quicker than I'd like.

I bought a big box of Jazz picks a few years ago, one with all the different variations. It's hard to go back to "normal" sized picks now for me. The bigness is just awkward. I actually prefer the medium point the most for normal playing, but can deal with any of them.

Red Bear Lil Jazzer. My search ended once I played this pic.

Same picks I was using last time a thread like this came along...

Dunlop Ultex
Dunlop Tortex
Dunlop Nylon
and some off shoot tortoise shell picks...

Anything between .6 and 1.0

Been playing with Jazz III for about 5 years.Changed to Jazz XL 2 years ago and never lookedd back.Great pick attack and tone, but i really want to order a red bear Jazz XL at 1.6.
