Ron Ellis Belle cheaper alternatives? I love these pickups but the price and the waiting list made me change my idea. I would put them in a Les Paul and the Tone I'm looking for Is something with great Attack and clarity, something like that:

Holy shit man! Never heard of these. that is a tight sound. I just checked their pricing. $425 for one humbucker. I can see why you are looking for cheaper alternatives. If you have not, maybe check out Rio Grande Pickups. I have a set in one of my Pauls and they sound pretty damn good.

Check out Throbak pickups.
They’re not cheap, but a top contender if you want PAF’s.
I’d look into Arcane pickups as well.

They almost sound as clear and articulate as Lollar humbuckers

I have a favorite pick up but it’s not for everyone. The Tom Anderson H3+. Now, if you’re looking for the be all, end all I’m pretty sure the Seymour Duncan JB is what everybody ends up with in the end.

The Anderson H2+, H3, and H3+ are all great pickups. I've used Andersons on a number of guitars over the years and found them to be high gain, articulate, and very balanced at the same time.

I actually hate the JB in most applications. For a Duncan in the same output level, the Custom is better IMO. However, I do think the JB probably matches with a mahogany body better than the alder super strats I mostly play, so maybe in a Gibson of some sort I'd like it.
