I have this great guitar that is one unbelievable Les Paul style guitar and while I really like the Fralins (I am pretty sure they are AIVs) especially for the blues rock stuff since they are creamy sounding with a little bite (more evenly balanced), but want more versatility, clarity with nice mids and grit/balls especially on the low end. Debating on the MCP 2nd Degree Blackbelts or Detroiters or maybe the BKP Rebel Yells, but I know they are a hotter pickup. Seeing Steve Steven on TMS made me want to least buy a bridge RY again or better yet a set!!!!

Give Wade a shout at MCP. He sent me two sets of Nastee's. I think these are a bit like the Detroiters. The bridge runs about 10K and the neck around 9. Dropped a set in a 78 LP of mine and they are absolutely fantastic. Not too hot and thin and run great in front of fairly high gain and cleans up well when rolling off.

Thanks!!!! I was wondering about those or the Detroiters. His phone is not working though and his website is down. I have a set of Garuda's coming for my ESP Horizon.

We'll need to send out an APB on Wade     . Holler at Jerry @ Luxxtone. He usually keeps quite a bit of MCP's in stock or can give you some info, or maybe even find Wade.

Steve

Hey R-. (metal)

Working on that website. Some spiders crawling and things to work out- 2nd degree's will get you what you need, and also perhaps the Detroiters for a little extra- If your running alot of preamp gain like STEVE, your going to want the Nasty's.
@Steve- Glad your diggin' those. You must be in warm climate, your readings are a touch high : )

Peace, Wade

Wade, thanks. Yes, I run my preamp fairly high (2-3p) on the Cameron Atomica. Maybe a Nasty Nasty bridge and 2nd Degree Neck would work? I want some clearer, but smooth tones from my neck pickup when I solo.

Steve,

What kind of LP is your 78? Standard, Custom, etc?
