I have two Duvell Black Limba. One I used for my band in C standard and has BKP Ragnarok. They work good in that tuning.

But the other I would like to keep in standard for some old school metal and rock.

I think black limba is a fairly bright wood. It came with BKP TKO (ceramic) and they were too bright (they now reside in an old LPC) and it has Lundgren M6 now. Looking for something less metal.

Would like it to be a BKP pickup since you can order it cosmetically as you like. And I would like raw nickel with gold bolts :D

Can you recommend something? Thinking alnico would be best as I think ceramic would be too bright.

The MCP Hothead would be worth considering. It’s an A5 bridge. The neck is ceramic, but it’s one of the best neck pickups around imo. It’s a killer set.

BKP Black Dog would be my choice hands down on that guitar. If it is not too too bright naturally then another option that would work well is the BKP VHII pickup. Both would be great choices but my first would be the Black Dog in that guitar. Good luck!

I had an all black limba body/neck. I use a SD 59/custom with it. I don't use neck pickups..but to me, a lot of guys get pickups for metal; but I don't really need super hot pickups for metal because I use high gain amps and a boost. I feel like having kind of a vintage sounding pickup that is a little hotter is the sweet spot. And the best thing about this range of pickups is that you can do dad rock all day long
