Pickup recommendations

I have a made in Mexico EVH wolfgang special. Looking to add pickups to it, and wanting something hot and modern sounding that can do hard rock to metal. I don't want to route the body so the pickups need to be passive. looking for recommendations as I am wanting to try something different this go round.

Note: looking for bridge and neck pickup opinions as both are being replaced

Guess I should note I am looking for something with a tight bottom end, good cutting mids, and smooth highs

Dimarzio AT-1 in the bridge . I remember on the Peavey Wolfgang Dimarzios were a direct fit , not sure about the newer Wolfgangs

I put an Afwayu in my axis that I really liked. Probably should've kept it, but I dig the stock pups. Not a fan of those new EVH pups though

Really digging the BKP warpig I just got. Probably gonna buy another one for another guitar. For the neck, the only thing I really use is the Dimarzio Bluesbucker.

I doubt anything will be a drop-in fit. I had Wolfe (of Wolfetone) make me some Marshallheads for my EVH Wolf Spec. He used a stock pup as a model for the sizing. I don't think anything else will just drop in there. The legs need to be just right or you need to have them short and add springs, plus probably snipping off the corners of the legs.

Yeah they definitely have to be modified to fit. I've routed bodies for actives as well as trimming passives to fit. The fact that the pickups have to be modified is why I am only wanting to do this once lol.

I've been contemplating a dimarzio super 3 bridge with a paf pro neck. I'm Still not sure though, and some of these pickups y'all have mentioned have me thinking as well
