(first 30 secs or so is a string intro)

and:

what pups? I know the second band uses Sunn Model T amps. lead player plays a PRS.

both the "lead" and rhythm tones. was looking at BKP Warpigs.

A bunch of doom guy/gals are using Lace Pickups. And I'm pretty sure Pallbearer is one of them. Probably their Drop and Gains pickup or the Nitro Hemi. I think I'm going to try a set out in my SG.

Pallbearer rules.
Yeah Lace.. Warpigs by BKB are too gainy and grindy for this, although they pack allot of bottom end.

Still need to try those Lace pickups.

Hm, hadn't heard of Lace, thanks. wish they came in different covers. won't look good in this particular guitar at all.

huh. wish those Winos came without the graphics. also, Wino's tone is a bit muddy for me usually.

definitely looks like there are some Lace pickups in my future. and don't get me wrong, I love me some Wino bands, but I'm looking for a tone with a little more harmonics and resonance than it seems he usually plays with. hence the Pallbearer reference.

wanna try some other Lace pups as well. the Matt Pike Dirty Heshers are badass!

I'd pick ceramic warpigs

that's what a custom builder told me, too, but lots of other folks have said otherwise. suppose I should just grab some and try em.

I love my Drop N Gain's a Nitro Hemi's, very clear and articulate not sterile at all. I even had them make me a custom Alumotone P90 that kills.

I love my A5 Warpigs.
They really don't feel as hot as they read.
Super thick tone though.

this
the a-pigs aren't hotter than a 498t or something, but they sound much punchier, bigger and clearer
just a big and open low mid grind without the harshness of a super distortion or invader

The 2 vids that you posted sound a little crunchier, so maybe the C-Pig would be better for you.
