are there any bridge humbucker that can make a thin/ice pick in your ear all maple guitar sound thick/ballsy/meaty for hard rock/shred ?
 
EMG 85 bridge, 60a neck. It's like cheat codes, but for a guitar
 
A cheap guitar is not going to sound awesome Unless you just lucked out but good pups can certainly improve it.

I second the BK Warpig.

Maybe the Black Dog. Depends on what tuning you are using.
 
i tried an Epiphone SG with Warpigs in it and it sounded incredible...
 
The best a pickup can do is possibly hide some flaws to some degree but it can't make tone exist where there was no tone to begin with...just IMHO...
 
EMG 81 , 85 etc etc ... They make that every guitar sounds ALMOST the same !

Pretty much........it is what it is....everyone spouts that pickup brand A/B/C will fix a crap guitar....it can help but the sum of parts being the wood and hardware are still a big part of the tone........that's why good guitars aren't usually cheap....
 
Aren't they on the shelf next to the "Guitar picks that make crap players sound like EVH"? :D
