I have always loved this tune and the solo. This solo from Gilmour is easily in my top 5 solos of all time. I used my Anderson Classic nicknamed "Gilmourish". Love this guitar!

I performed two takes:

- The first was a profile called Time Solo. It does a pretty good job of simulating the original tone.
- The second was one from The Amp Factory of the HiWatt DR103 called HiWatt Full. I added some reverb and delay to this one.

Again, the first one was more trying to get close to the original tone. The second one was the base amp with a much more clean signal that allows you to hear the guitar a bit more. Either way, it was fun to play this tune and show off my take.

Let me know if you have any questions or just leave your thoughts either way.

I like the tone on the second take better.

That is one of my fav solo's too. I rock it out about once a month or so.

I think I liked the sound of the first one a little more.. seemed more compressed and kind of a fuzz tone to it, sounded good..

Im with Fek. I like the second one better

Also one of my favorite leads and favorite verse "Home again…."

Both sound great brother! I prefer the first one for this solo because it's a bit more fuzzier like the original. Killer job on both!

Echoing what other people said, but I liked the 2nd take's tone better. I also adore your Anderson. :inlove:

I liked the second a bit better. I'm not a fan of fuzz tones. Great playing on both though. Cheers, Lucius

Dug em both! Great playing too man.

Thanks dude! Appreciate the compliment.

*I will answer question a little later tonight. I am trying to get out of the airport and little to no time right now.

Hey Chad, how'd I miss this clip?

Great job on the solo. Nice feel, and the bends were sweet. Playing these slow leads is harder than the fast stuff sometimes. Copping Gilmour's feel isn't easy, but you did a really nice job.

I found myself liking the first tone a lot when I heard it, but then I also dug the cleaner Hiwatt on your 2nd pass. I guess I hear parts of the original tone in each. That Kemper sure is a beast.

Great slow flow leads...

The Kemper seems to be serving you well. Great sounding piece of gear.

Second one sounds dead on. Less fizz. I listened without looking just repeating no question.

Here's a Kemper paired with a Skreddy Lunar Module Mini Deluxe pedal.

Back from the dead.

Thanks guys. I liked the tone on the second version better too. The first was more for fun.

I like them both dude! That fuzz in the 1st one has some extra mojo going - the 2nd one is just nice and articulate which is very cool too. Great playing too man

Excellent playing. I like the first one better as it's a faithful replication of the fuzzy tone of the real solo.
