Pink Taco lack of clarity

I have a question to all Pink Taco owners. Have you noticed a lack of definition which is especially noticeable on the lower strings?

I have and old Mesa Studio preamp and I was surprised to hear more clarity when I run it through return of Pink Taco.

My rig is Epiphone LesPaul -> Pink Taco -> Two Notes Live -> headphones.
