Play too much, practice too little

I find myself playing through a ton of material and when I get to a point of difficulty, maybe I’ll play the part two or three times but overall not enough.

I play too much, don’t practice enough.

I don't practice at all and have been winging playing since 85' when I was in high school. My stepson on the other hand practices, reads music and can play slotted A Major pharogian scales in treble clef or whatever the hell he does...
