a buddy of mine from here TrentBizzle, let me borrow his mod 50 for a few days. All I can say is that Bruce really nailed it out of the park with this amp. I played the twin and SL2 Modules. Very impressed with the cleans. I was shocked at how the SL2 sounded, really did not expect to be that good. The density knob really adds a lot to it. The module is very saturated and great modded marshall tone!
I am totally GASIN for one of these right now....

who else has one? I love to hear about the other modules.

I used to have one, but upgraded to the M4. Anyone who thinks the modular stuff isn't "real tone" owe it to themselves to play one. I've still not played a clean tone that has the depth that the T/D has. If you like the SL2, the EG5 absolutely smokes. There's a lot of useable tones in there.

Spam... check out my M4 in the classifieds if your up for grabbing one and a power amp. I have an SL, and an SL2x. Pretty much a stock plexi sound, and a hot rodded superlead module. Pretty sweet stuff I have to agree!

Not a Mod 50 owner, but have an M4. I did a ton of research before purchasing and after a few years, I can confidently say that the MTS system is unparalleled(in terms of tube amplification) in flexibility. I use the BMAN, VX, COD, EG3, and EG5. So many tonal possibilities. The COD is one of the best out there for lead work. BMAN is my workhorse for clean and slight breakup. The VX started out as my favorite but my other guitarist uses an AC30 and they are very similar. For rhythm I use both EG3 and 5 singles for Marshall and soldano flavors.

The real addiction is getting into the Randall mods and all of the mod work being done. You can get a clone of nearly any amp between Salvation, Jaded Faith, and Gigmods. The stock Randall's are so cheap (about the cost of a decent pedal) that you can easily get sucked into the merry go round. There are rumors of a second coming from Egnater next year in the mod front. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I have a RM100 that I'm really diggin' alot lately. Very versitile.

I have been playing my Randall RM22 more than any other amp i own lately. Tons of fun and at only 20 watts I'm amazed at how big it sounds.

I have the mod50 and its one heel of an amp!...best amp i played yet, i will never sell it. Bought it to cover a lot of tone but with the idea to get some other high end amps later and scince then i tried a lot(Marshalls,Bogner,Peavey,Vox,fender...) and i realised that to me it sounds on par or even better than what it try to emulate lol.
Its a really warm organic sounding amp, even at low volume.
To me it cover the best fender/vox clean tone and the best Marshall/soldano crunch/high gain lead tone. Its the best of past up to 80's 90's. If your looking for mesa type tone or super processed hifi metal tone look elswhere.

I got the bman modules and it sounds as good as the real thing.
The Sl2 is my favorite for anything from blues rock up to iron maiden/megadeth

eg3/4 is smoother/darker than the sl2, its also got tigher mids and its my choice for Eric Johnson style lead or thicker crunch sound. Its also excelent for long sustain singing fusion lead playing. I like to cover John Petrucci solos with this channel.

Havent played the eg5 yet but poeple say its one of the best module, very soldano ish.

Been an Egnater modular user since 2004. Love the amps and modules. Still have my original Mod 100 (upgraded to dual channels) Mod 50 and the M4. Such a cool concept and executed so well. Love the VX, SL, SL2 and EG3/4. Might have to sell the Mod 50 to fund some studio gear but I will always keep an Egnater in the amp stable.

I might be looking to move one of my MOD50's in the near future. PM me if you have any interest.

My apologies for the flagrant SPAM.

:rawk:

there was someone selling a mod 100 for dirt cheap either here or on the gear page.!
