wanted to test out that gilbert dimarzio set that's in there cause I ordered the bridge for my strat...
the pickups sounded great...all the strat sounds, just more of it...the inbetween settings still get you that strat twang..but full on bridge is a nice full sound...almost like a bucker really (actually I think it's more of a bucker than a single coil anyway considering the way the mags are inside the pup)
the guitar's mahogany so I just ordered the bridge to see what it would sound like in the alder strat..but if it's as cool as I hope it is I can see myself getting the full set
as far as the guitar..it's actually pretty cool...I think it's on a LP scale...only thing is the neck is like a frigging baseball bat...way beefier than my epi lp so it was a little rough on my little sausage fingers...lowering the action probably could have helped...sounded great though..was lighter than I thought it was going to be...
but that's not important right now
