The serial number is 096302. Can anyone tell me what year it was made?

I believe it to be a 2006 but i could be wrong. I think the 09 stands for sebtember the 5 standing for 2005 and the 302 being the 302nd one made for that year. Again i could be wrong but that is the way i have come to understand there date codes.
