I have on on order to my local store.

Hasnt arrived yet.

Yeah, kinda waiting on these to come out myself, clips sound good though.

I think they sound great ! Marshall did a nice job on the amp IMO.

I saw on 'Marshall Roadhouse' forum where someone has one already...loved it...then it died on him. He has another en route...not sure if he tried different tubes though. These new production tubes seem to be shit. Glad I have a huge stock of older 34s and other assorted types. He just put back in the box and returned it for another. But he really loved the tone, and I think he has an original 2550. He did say that the new one has more gain.

 I like the sound of that. Hope all is well my friend. Would love to have my Jubilee back... that being said...if I can get ahead a bit on funds, I may go the SLO100 route... or keep it budget friendly and try the 3rd Power HD100 or RPO100. Cheers

guitar center did a clip of the reissue and the original.

though the reissue sounds good, i preferred the orignal in that clip

Hey man! Hope you are well also. Yeah if I could have an SLO and keep my Jubilee......if you do try an SLO be prepared. It will blow you away IMO...put a little boost in there and...awesome. It does make you work a bit harder but its worth it. Gonna try to hit the Dells this summer....gotta check you guys out!

Yeah I heard that clip. I thought they were pretty darn close. I bet if you could find Drake transformers on eBay it would be more spot on. But that's probably unnecessary....that amp sounds pretty killer as is.

yeah, the reissue definitely sounded good - i just preferred the tone of the original a little more.

of course, maybe the reissue would sound that way in 20+ years too

That was a nice Clip ! No boosts, drum-machines or bad leads !!!! Sounded Marshall all the way !!!

GC used an AKG414 on the 412 cab for that clip??
.............. Uh........Why?? Do they not have a 57 lying around there?

The amp sounds good though, I do think it has a bit more gain than the 2555 I had years ago. I think mine had a bit more volume drop than I heard on that one when changing channels too.

I thought the lead channels sounded very close. The clean on the reissue seemed a bit brighter. I'm sure if you used the same tubes and biased them the same they'd be almost exact

I play my Jube almost every day, and for me to have as much gain as that clip my boost would need to be on(OD1X). Love that tone, seems a bit darker than mine but I need everything brighter these days...

So Racerxrated, being that you own an original, would you say this is a good representation of it and recommend?
I'm seriously considering.

Yes absolutely. Like I said before, all of these retailers give you 30 days so if it isn't for you....I've never owned a 100 watt 2555, just 50 w versions....but to me the tone is there from clips. Even though clips aren't the best judge.....its all we have. Sounds killer. Jubes like V30s.....also G1265s and greenies. Having a nice clean boost is a must though to get the most out of a good Marshall IMO.

If these were available in January when I grabbed my 2554 I would have ponied up the extra cash for the reissue. But I couldn't wait until summer.....and an original came up for sale. FYI....the 'black tolex' versions are the same amp..they made them in 88 until parts were used up and called them 'JCM Custom Series'.
