Hey guys, I just got a Fender Custom Shop '69 Relic strat with a Floyd Rose. Alder body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. It's loaded with '69 single coils in the neck and middle. It has a Seymour Duncan '59 humbucker in the bridge that isnt suiting my rig or ears. Sounds a bit bright and thin for what I play through, although I assume they partnered it up with the 69 so there wouldnt be that huge drop of volume between pickup changes.
I have Suhr Aldrige, SSH+ and EMG 85 as well as a Dimarzio Tone Zone in my other guitars which I like. Ive also used Duncan JB's and PRS HFS in the past with success. Was wanting to try a different brand and was looking at Bareknuckle Holy Diver or Motor City Afwayu for this guitar. Whatdya guys think? Any reviews or other suggestions? Thanks!
Play mostly 80's butt rock and shred in the realm of DeMartini, Lynch, Rhoads, EVH, etc.

holy diver sounds like exactly what you're looking for IMO. Rolled off highs, thicker lowend, snarling pronounced mids, and a crazy fun pup for leads.

I really like the BKP VHII or if you want something more powerfull, i suggest the Duncan Custom 5. I like the JB a lot, but i think that if i had to choose, id go with the Custom 5.
