Anyone done this with any sucess? I have heard some pretty great clips over at metroamp and it seems like a straight forward mod to perform. Contemplating trying this on my Bogen chassis Voodoo plexi until I have enough funds for a full blown kit. Only thing it's a super small chassis that's completely crowded and both channels are already internally jumpered together, so there is only one input on the amp.

oh yeah done to death inside and out backwards and fowards. It a simple way to basically make a 1950 a 2203. in fact a cascade 1959 with a 68k between the two instead of the 470k 470p and a post phase inverto mv, is one of the coolest hot rodded marshall tones ever. Watcha wanna do.. Ill help ya.

Well, I have a PPIMV installed in this little plexi and it sounds good but I need more crunch. Or at least I want to attempt more crunch lol. You know it's both channels jumpered and loud but it's no cascaded gain. I figure this is easy enough to try, and if I hate it I can put things back. At least I hope so.

I'll shoot ya a PM.

Send it to Vlad along with a 12 pack of Blue Moon and see what happens. :D

I never tried it - but if you got a PPIMV how about just using a boost? I'm sure you've tried that, but just checking ;)

Hmmm, letting Vlad defile my Voodoo. ;)

Darren - tried a boost it sounds good. Time to take it to the next level

Well until I get the big boy kit. :scared:

Yeah it's similar to a 2203. But I found it uncontrollable...
It has the gain of 2203 but it never sounded right to me. I wired it up like 2203 made Vol I the MV and Vol II the Preamp gain...
