I got a 50watt plexi reissue from a friend and local guitar guru here about a year and a half ago. Thing has a mv installed and i think a bassman tranny. Always been a sweet amp and i always played it with the inputs bridged. Well today while considerng a trade for a friends recto, i took the jumper out of the input and plugged an sd-1 and my les paul tuned to drop-c in the II high input and holy shit! It was so crushing and the highs and presence were actually useable. I feel dumb for never finding this setting. Wtf. Anyways, i guess its staying. My deliverance has a serious competitor for metal now.
Anyone want to share their favorite input or settings?

With the sd-1 as a hard boost it seriously sounds like a modern amp and the low end is clear as a bell(with a JB!)

Always use top left input, and usually don't bridge the channels due to a slight drop in gain! I do have a PPIMV though.

So it has more gain unbridged? Im definitely boosting real hard with the sd-1. I usually use one of my 808's but the amp seems to like the boss pedal.

Surprised it took ya that long to try really :) Not so much the jumper method but running an SD-1 in front. JMP/early JCM800 2203/04's like the SD-1's. I use an old one from the 80s in front of my 83 JCM800 2203 w/6550's

I e always use my 808 and jumped the inputs. Dont know what made me break out the sd-1, but it was more aggressive and sounded mean as hell. Ive always preffered the 808 til today. Go figure. Just heavy as hell through that second high input.

Try plugging into the top left... BUT.... now take a short cable and jump the lower left input into an EQ the out of the EQ to the top right. Adjust the EQ to what you like.

Im gonna try jumpin it again tomorrow and see if using mainly input two and bringing input one in a little at a time. I used to just run both knobs dimed with it jumped. Heve not been messin with the blend i guess.

You can use a boost as well. It's cool.

I read this wrong the first time. So; does it eq the first signal into the normal channel and this mix them? Or is it one bright and one eq'd signal and mix the two? Thats cool. Ive never heard of putting something between I and II.

You are right in your first statement.
