Plini and Rabea

I've posted about both of these guys to mostly crickets here at RT but I know there's a couple others here that are fans. I'm old but I gotta have new stuff, I cant keep listening to the old stuff. These are a couple of younger/next gen guys who have a sound/style that I can connect with.

It's cool and some great playing and slick production but really that style of D-jenty shred is just not as cool as neoclassical or other flashy lead styles of yester year which are for the most part, already played out. In other words, listening to this was a bit like watching paint dry. Not that interesting. Give me some lyrics and some catchy hooks. Which is mainly why I just keep listening to the old stuff. Been listening to MSG most of the morning.

I haven’t been inspired in years by recent bands or much of any newer gear. There’s some cool shit out there but nothing that grabs my attention really. Maybe it’s my age (44) and/or because I was totally spoiled to grow up with music through the 80’s and 90’s ??‍
Anyhoo, I like the Plini plug-in and I really like the Rabea one. Brings out my playful, creative side which hasn’t happened in a long while. So for that I’m grateful.

I also like that I can still come to RT and bullshit about this kinda shit with you like-minded dudes. Rig Talk will always be the coolest gear forum ??
