How does peavey hp neck feel compared to the new fender evh neck ?

Is the hp like A 50s style les Paul neck ?
The new evh neck feels amazing. But I'm eye balling a hp.

The neck on the HP I had felt exactly like a peavey wolfgang neck. To me they are a little fatter than the fender evh necks...

Something appeals to me more w the HP they seam to look like higher quality. But I never played one. I had an evh USA new one. But needed $ cuz of work. So it's another evh or an HP ,,,,

The HP neck is the same profile as the Peavey Wolfgang. Asymetrical back profile about .83" at the first fret and has tall 6105 frets.
The new EVH guitars are thinner with what feels to me like a fender mediun C profile. Thay also have small stainless steel frets.

I prsonally love the Peavey neck and dont care for the EVH neck...

HP's are great, comfortable necks. Not a quantitative measure by any means, nor a comparison to the EVH, just my opinion.

Love the feel of the fender necks but i love the shape of the original wolfgangs/HP's more.

All I know is the fender evh neck was fkn killer ss frets n all !

My Peavey HP Special neck is a lot less meaty than my Peavey Wolfgang and not even close to a Les Paul. The HP is awesome for smaller hands and built for speed.

My Peavey HP carved top has an amazing feeling neck. I love my Peavey Wolfgangs, but the HP is just easier to play. Better upper fret access as well.

My HP carved top neck also feels amazing, lighting fast and smooth as silk, plus the birds eye maple adds aesthetic value IMO. Coil splitting, removable trem blocking for up-tremming as well (nothing you couldn't add yourself but they're already there).

I have the EVH Stealth and I think the neck profile is a little flatter and the nut seems a little wider. Ever so slightly wider. I have had the PV Wolfs, EVH MM's, and the HP. HP is a killer guitar but after playing on SS frets, I prefer them over nickel frets now. I can't get away from that silky buttery feeling when playing them. I think I used to dig the neck profile a little bit more on the PV Wolf and HP, but that's because I have sausage links for fingers. The EVH MM is way to narrow, but the PV's felt just right. They seem to just fit in your hand perfectly. I am used to my EVH Wolf now and have no problem going to and from either. Actually preferring the "wider" feel of the nut width.

To me, the aforementioned are the differences in the necks I feel.

That's what I cannot get over. I had the new USA wolfgang the ss frets n the neck was the fastest fkn fretboard I ever played. Tnx cuz u just helped me recon firm my thoughts. New evh it is

I grabbed a USA EVH (I normally like larger necks) and agree, the neck feels good.

May have the frets replaced (a couple of them are a bit chewed up), but I also agree the vintage frets feel great on that particular neck. All in all, a really nice guitar.

If you can find a good deal, I'd go with the EVH.

I have two HPs. The necks are killer...not quite as round as the wolfies from what I remember?
