Port City 2x12 wave

Used my newly acquired Port City 2x12 last night. Great tone, light to carry kudos all around!

I was just looking at one of these on craigslist last night. What speakers are in yours?

I think they are the Celestion 65 knock offs:

Lotza thump in the cab. I would't need more and I'm glad I didn't go with the OS version.

I use the OS wave with delta 12a and it kills, I imagine this smaller ones are much tighter, but I'm a big fan of the massive dimension coming out of this cab. Does the standard size still have great depth?

All my amps have tons of low end Punch/ Resonance/ Depth. In fact on my Soldano depth mod I literally had to turn the depth mod off. It was way to much! One of my main 4x12's is a Mesa oversized standard. And the low end compares!!!

I've got the same cab myself, but with Vintage 30's. Best 2x12 cab I've come across, at least for my needs.

I put in a v30 next to the warehouse 65. It sounds brittle and thin now. Maybe out of phase...

It WAS out of phase. I hooked the cables up backwards. sounds awesome now!

I LOVE my 1x12!! Super light, and it might be the loudest little 1x12 cab I've ever played (looks cool too)...top notch stuff!

I have a 2x12" regular wave, love how tight the low end is and how easy it is to move around. It's a bit bright for my tastes with the speakers it came loaded with (Eminience Governor/Manowar) - planning on swapping in some Scumback M75's.

Been thinking about one of these again as I had a OS 4x12 years ago and though it sounded huge it was a little too compressed sounding. I like my tone aggressive and tight that's thick but still open sounding. Not sure what to do, as I have a splawn 2x12 with a V30/scum H75 that sounds incredible so may just get another one of those

Good call; I have an OS 2x12 with M75s and I love it...
