What do you play when you need portability, controlled volume, or just don't have enough room in your home and keep the main somewhere else? Here's mine! I'm going to change out the 2x12 for something with Vintage 30s sometime when I start recording more in my bedroom. If it's not obvious, I'm a '90s death metal fanatic.

EHX 22 caliber / fender 1x12 open back cab.... that i converted from a broken fender gdec

I bring that to open jams, fits in my gig bag, and i bring a planet waves headstock tuner... so easy and it honestly sounds great....

:) How is the 22 Caliber? I've heard good things, may pick up one and an ENGL GM 110 soon for practice/blues/jazz jams.

the think rocks, I flip the bright switch on, and crank it 100% and then just use my guitar volume / and guitar tone to control the sound... works killer! for the bread they rock, cant beat how small they are.... they have the 44 magnum now to!!

I just use a Mesa Boogie Thiele 1x12 when we play in a really small tight bar. I also have a Bogner OS 2x12 that I've used too. Put my Quick Rod on top of either, and use my pedal board like I always do.

At home, I always use a Tech 21 Trademark 10 for practicing.

if i had the money i would own a 5150 III and a 2x12 with a GM-II for a mini rig of doom :)

At home I use a Blackheart 5 watt tube head (NOS Mullard) and a Hermida ported 2x12 with Vintage 30's.

I run my small board with a DS-1, SD-1, Keeley Baked TS-9, Carbon Copy, OC-2 and BF-2.

The tone flat out kills. GREAT rig.

It's not fancy, but it works and sounds good with a 2x12 (that is also reasonably portable)...
