For those who've used the power amp sim on the balanced XLR outputs on the Soldano X88IR, how did you like it?

How does it compare to an actual power amp stage, particularly with IR?

It's great! Love it! Been using it for a year and a half live now. The direct sound actually has some beef to it. This is one of those things that I hate about a pedal to IR direct. Even my backup board with the SLO Plus pedal has that running into a KMA Endgame which also has a good power amp sim as well. Everything just has more or a full sound.

I m pretty sure the Tone King Royalist pedal have a better amp sim . I had the Soldano X88IR and IR-X side by side , both amp sim are similar . But when i plug the IRX in the TKRP , IR-X sound is way better , so i think it s the same with X88IR (that i no longer have)
